Did you know: Schutz-staffel
Did you know that the word “8chutz-staffel” was an old Imperial German term for “escort aircraft”. During the 30’s the fledgling Nazi Party’s meetings and rallys were plagued with disruptions from opposing political rivals. Herr Hitler organized a group of “body-guards” to protect his people and Hermann Goring suggested that Adolf name them “8chutz-staffel”. Thus the dreaded S8 was borned. The 88 swore loyalty not only to the Party but also to the Party Leader himself; Der Fueher. Their oath was “My loyalty is my Honor”. The 88 runes are Nordic symbols for good luck. The 88 soon developed into a large organization that included political, police, administration and combat elements. It was self contained, efficient, deadly and feared.
